Founder, Mbeu Farm Intelligence

Custody Chikambure is a Zimbabwean technology and climate-action practitioner with a background in Computer Science and experience spanning artificial intelligence, digital innovation, project management, climate action and community-based programmes.

Through his work with TENCHIG Initiative and regional and international development programmes, Custody has worked across youth empowerment, environmental sustainability, digital skills, entrepreneurship and stakeholder engagement. These experiences shaped his interest in technology that responds to practical challenges faced by African communities.

How can emerging technologies help farmers make better decisions in the face of increasing climate uncertainty?

Mbeu brings together his interests in AI, climate resilience and locally driven innovation, with the ambition of developing practical decision-support technology that can be tested with farmers in Zimbabwe and, if supported by evidence, adapted for wider use across Africa.
